Love, October, and Halloween!

My boyfriend came to visit me this weekend and we had a great time together as always. I love it when we get to spend time together since it doesn't happen as often as I'd like! We went shopping and enjoyed a nice family get together with some delicious wine and enjoyable conversation. Also, it's October! (If you didn't know haha 😉) I love October because fall is finally beginning and cooler weather and sweaters are soon to be here to stay! I will soon post about my favorite fashion ideas and inspirations for the fall season. October also means Halloween is near. I've been thinking a lot about my Halloween costume and originally decided on Sandra D, while my boyfriend would of course be Danny from Grease. But soon changed my mind to something a little creepier. I thought I wanted to be an escapee from an insane asylum while my boyfriend would be my doctor chasing me around trying to get a hold of me. But that idea didn't last long either. I finally decided I wanted to put a lot of effort into my costume this year and make it extra awesome and super fitting for Halloween. I have attached an photo below of my boyfriend and I this past weekend along with an example of my soon to be Halloween costume (assuming I don't change my mind again)!

Happy Memorial Day!

What a lovely day for swimming and a BBQ! The sun came out just in time for Memorial Day and I could not have had a better day. And of course, a big thank you to our soldiers who have served or are currently serving our country and our people!

What a relaxing weekend it has been so far! After our wonderful hike my boyfriend and I made french toast and eggs (well, I only had eggs) and now we are heading to the mall to look around and have a fun day spending time together. I love being home with my family and boyfriend; it's always so fun spending time with everyone.  Here is my outfit today!

Just a casual, comfy shopping day. Lately, I find myself veering towards a laid back look whenever possible!

Hiking!

Went on a gorgeous 5 mile hike this morning with my boyfriend! It was so refreshing and beautiful it made me want to go every morning. When I told my boyfriend that he did not seem as excited as me though :/ haha but I don't blame him. If I played as much water polo as he did I would want to relax every second I had! He's a trooper! Also, saw a bobcat on our hike! :O Here's a few pics...

Happy Birthday Dad!

Heading home with my boyfriend today for Memorial Day Weekend. My Dad's Birthday also happens to be today! Yayy for birthdays! Can't wait to relax by the pool with my boyfriend and family. Also, some graduation dress shopping is in order :) I'll keep you updated on how that goes!

OOTD and OOTN

What a lovely spring day (or should I say summer since it's 90 degrees here!) After an enjoyable run and lounging by the pool earlier in the day I thought I'd break in my new Free People top! It is a gorgeous knit top with embroidered yellow flowers. Here I paired it with a simple pair of denim shorts but it looks equally adorable with my new orange, denim high waisted Free People shorts. 

I switched out my low rise jean shorts for a lighter wash pair of high waisted Levi's and a high-low loose black tank top for night time. I then paired that with a pair of over the knee black socks and my favorite black Jeffery Campbell Litas. Hope you like it! Oh yes, and a nice glass of sparkling wine :)

Whole Earth Festival

Whole Earth Festival was this past weekend and it is always so much fun! There are so many unique vendors and so much to see. The food and music are also amazing and add to the awesome atmosphere of the festival. Below I have included a photo of myself eating a beautiful and delicious mango on a stick!

Came home from school this weekend to get a little R&R and do some therapy shopping after a stressful week of midterms. San Francisco

Went shopping in San Francisco yesterday and was lucky enough to experience the Chinese New Year celebration and parade around Union Square. It was amazing! Seeing all the fireworks, vibrant colored dragons, and thousands of exuberant people ringing in the New Year was inspiring. The atmosphere was contagious and seemed to envelop me with a new zest for life. With thousands of people lining the streets I still managed my way through to my favorite stores. Below I have included a couple of photos from my day and also a photo of myself standing by one of the famous hearts that are auctioned off each year for charity which are also inspired by Tony Bennett's song "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."
